As you probably already know, the beneficiaries of the Crous purse are subject to certain conditions:
- Progress;
- Class attendance;
- Attendance at exams.
Failure to comply with these obligations is subject to sanctions from the Crous. For example, the number of absences is limited to two per subject. Failure to take exams at the end of each semester may result in suspension of financial aid based on social criteria. The Crous can even go so far as to ask the student concerned to repay the sums unduly received. However, students who obtained the exemption from scholarship attendance are, in some way, sheltered from these possible sanctions. Indeed, their absence from classes or exams can be excused if the reasons are considered serious. Thus, the scholarship attendance condition does not apply to students:
- Employees or entrepreneurs;
- Holders of an elective mandate;
- In a situation of disability;
- Engaged in a double course;
- High-level artists or athletes;
- Forced to provide for their families.
According to the rules in force established by the Crous, attendance at supervised work is compulsory. However, the student who has concluded a pre-professionalization contract is exempt from attendance and will take final exams at the end of the semester, which will replace the continuous assessment tests, in order to award him a grade.
