Why is my Crous scholarship suspended?

Each educational establishment then transmits to the Crous the list of non-attending students.
- A good organization to ensure full-time studies. What to do in this case?

In the event that the Crous requests reimbursement of amounts already received and the student refuses to do what is necessary, the consequences can be significant:
- The savings accounts as well as the bank account in the name of the scholarship student are blocked;
- The total amount to be reimbursed is taken directly from their bank account;
- The student will be registered with the Bank of France and will then find himself banned from banking.
However, to avoid making the situation worse, it is possible to appeal to request the cancellation of this debt. To do this, the first step consists of sending a letter to the rector of the academy. The objective is to explain the situation which led to the breach of obligations. It is recommended to provide supporting documents relating to the problem the student has encountered, such as bank statements proving financial difficulties or medical certificates. It should be noted that the letter requesting cancellation of the debt to the Crous must be sent within two months, from the date of receipt of the reimbursement request. It is also possible to contact a Crous social worker to try to find an amicable agreement. The latter is also able to advise students on possible solutions in order tocancel the suspension of the Crous scholarship.
